Basic Income Peterborough Network

Established since 2015, Basic Income Peterborough Network (BIPN) is supporting the idea of a basic income for Peterborough, for Ontario, for Canada, for the World. We are partnering with various women’s groups throughout the Peterborough Kawartha Riding with the goal of unifying these groups around basic income (BI) and developing a collective advocacy platform for BI with the local MP in Peterborough.

In 2019, BIPN worked with local candidates during the federal election to ensure an understanding of the immediate need for a basic income for all Canadians. We also hosted a community evening forum with Evelyn Forget, as well as an afternoon consultation with Evelyn and local basic Income advocates.
